Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is American Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. Her songs are classified as alternative and folk. They also are influenced by jazz hip hop punk, and funk. She is widely considered to be a feminist icon. Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco has been referred to as the "mother" of the DIY movement, and was among the pioneers of artists who started her own label the year 1990. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in the city of Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother is from Montreal as is her father, who has Italian origins. Ani DiFranco sang and wrote 32 Flavors. The track is on her 6th studio album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. This track appears on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana at an old slave plantation.
