Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multicultural family. Her birthplace was within South London. She's English but her father is Nigerian. She was born and raised in a council estate located south of London. In the ages of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She pursued acting studies at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career in the film Storm Damage. In the years since she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Following that success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she got Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe debuted in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series ran at The CW for only two episodes, before it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the drama series on ABC Revenge in two episodes. It was revealed in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making one guest appearance on the initial series of the 3rd. In the television series Salem, she played Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was born into a large family in Hamilton, Ontario. The four brothers she had were present as well and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletic, played baseball in summers and played hockey in winters. Ashley never actually walked -she did dance, so at the age of just two years old, she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, lyrical, musical theatre and hip hop. Top soloists at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
