LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James has been widely acknowledged as one of history's most outstanding basketball stars. Michael Jordan is usually compared in discussions about which is the most outstanding player. James was awarded four NBA championships and four NBA MVPs Three All-Star MVPs, as well as two Olympic medals. James holds the record for the highest amount of points scored during the postseason, second highest overall career score and 7th most career assists. James has been the NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, an all-time record. James has also been selected for the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. He has been a part of 10 NBA Finals, the third-most of all time. The streak spans eight consecutive years between 2011-2018. James was picked as a part of the NHL75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became only the third NBA player in history to earn 10,000 or higher career points. James played basketball in St. Vincent St. Mary High School near his hometown of Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped up by the media. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first during the NBA draft, as a pre-pro. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year he soon established himself as one of the league's premier players, winning an NBA MVP award in both 2009 and 2010. After failing to win an NBA championship, Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent to become a member of Miami Heat.
